Terms of Service

These Terms explain the rules for using point5’s AI-assisted photo editing, image history, and related account features.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your access to and use of point5, including its Youie single-photo edit, Twoie two-photo composition, accounts, and related features (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use it. “We” and “point5” refer to the Service operator, whose legal identity must be supplied before these Terms are published as final.

1. Eligibility and the Service

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms. The Service is not intended for children. The Service offers AI-assisted edits and compositions, which may be changed, limited, or unavailable in some deployments. Youie edits one uploaded or captured photo; Twoie combines a subject photo with a background photo.

Some generation features require you to sign in. You are responsible for the activity carried out through your account and for keeping access to your sign-in method secure. Provide accurate profile information and promptly stop using the Service if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

2. Accounts, quotas, and access

Google sign-in is provided by Google and account records are managed through our authentication provider. You may sign out at any time. Anonymous capture or job setup does not guarantee that generation will be available; generation can require an authenticated account and may be disabled for maintenance, safety, or operational reasons.

The current Service provides a configurable daily free-generation allowance displayed in the app. Limits may vary by account status, refresh daily, and may be changed to protect the Service or manage provider costs. A generation that reaches an AI provider may count against your allowance even if the returned image cannot be delivered. There is no payment checkout, paid subscription, or purchase flow in the current app. Any future paid feature will be governed by additional terms presented before purchase.

3. Your photos and permissions

You keep any rights you hold in photos you submit. You are responsible for having all rights, permissions, and legal authority needed to upload, edit, and use each image, including permission from identifiable people where required. Do not submit images obtained unlawfully or images that violate another person’s privacy, publicity, or intellectual-property rights.

You grant point5 a limited, non-exclusive permission to receive, normalize, store, copy, transmit to the selected image provider, process, and return your submitted images and generated results solely to provide, secure, and support the Service, including any history retention option you choose. This permission ends when the relevant processing and retention ends, except for copies retained by providers or as required by law. We do not claim ownership of your photos or outputs.

You may choose to retain future generations in your signed-in profile. That choice changes the retention of future jobs; switching it off does not automatically erase previously retained images. The current interface does not offer self-service deletion of saved images or account closure. See the Privacy Policy for the current retention design and the missing operator request channel.

4. AI-generated results

AI systems can produce unexpected, inaccurate, incomplete, or offensive results and can alter details of a person or scene. Results are not guaranteed to preserve identity, likeness, clothing, or other details exactly. Review each result before downloading, sharing, or relying on it. Do not present an edited or generated image as an unaltered photograph when doing so would mislead someone or violate a legal duty.

You are responsible for how you use and distribute your inputs and outputs, including checking applicable law and third-party rights. Output ownership and protection may depend on applicable law and the selected provider’s terms; point5 makes no promise that an output is exclusive, copyrightable, or suitable for a particular purpose.

5. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to:

  • break the law, violate these Terms, or infringe another person’s rights;
  • create or distribute intimate imagery of a person without their consent;
  • create, request, or distribute sexual content involving a minor, or exploit or endanger a child;
  • deceive, defraud, harass, threaten, or impersonate another person;
  • upload malware, attempt to bypass security or usage controls, or disrupt the Service; or
  • probe, scrape, resell, or use the Service in a way that creates unreasonable cost or risk.

We may refuse a request, restrict access, or suspend an account when reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, prevent abuse, or enforce these Terms.

6. Availability and third parties

The Service depends on third-party hosting, storage, authentication, and AI providers. We do not control those providers and cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability, exact processing locations, or their independent retention practices. Your use of Google sign-in and the selected image provider may also be subject to their separate terms and policies. The Privacy Policy describes the providers currently integrated into the app.

The Service and its features are provided on an evolving basis. We may update, suspend, or discontinue features, apply reasonable usage limits, or require updated Terms when necessary. We will give notice when required by applicable law.

7. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without guarantees that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure in every circumstance, or suitable for your needs. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, point5 is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss, or loss of data, profits, or business opportunities arising from use of the Service. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or personal injury where such limitation is prohibited. Any liability cap or further allocation of responsibility must be reviewed for the operator’s jurisdiction before publication.

8. Changes, law, and contact

We may revise these Terms as the Service changes. Updated Terms will show a new date; continued use after the effective date means acceptance where that is permitted by law. The law and courts that apply depend on the operator’s location and mandatory consumer protections that apply to you. No governing-law jurisdiction or venue has been supplied for this project, so none is selected here.

The point5 operator’s legal name, postal address, and contact email have not been supplied. Publish those details and obtain qualified legal review before treating these Terms as final or enabling public image generation.
